PRCC is excited to start its U15 Program once again this year. We are looking forward to another fun and safe summer of paddling on Frenchman’s Bay in Pickering. This program includes spring training!

Spring Training runs from May 15 to July 4th on M,T,W,Th 4:15-5:45. The summer session starts July 4 and runs for 7 weeks M-F 9:00-1:00

Below are some of the key features of the program, based around Canoe/Kayak Canada’s (CKC) model for Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD). The programs main goals are as follows:

Provide a fun and safe environment for all participating athletes (coed)
All equipment is provided
Teach both beginner and experienced paddlers the fundamentals of sprint canoe/kayak
Provide opportunity for athletes to train and compete in a variety of team boats and individual boats (singles)
Teach all participants the basics of training in canoe/kayak, including introduction to aerobic and speed training on and off the water
Provide opportunity for all participants to compete divisionally and provincially
The day-to-day activities within the program will include:

Morning meet and greet
Morning warm up including dry land activities such as jogging and dynamic stretching
Games as a group including volleyball, pickle, frisbee, jack-pot, relay races and much more
Multiple on water sessions including time in team boats, singles or big boats (War Canoe)
Designated lunch time supervised by coaches
Additional activates such as time in fun boats (non-racing boats), swimming, beach activities, etc…
Weekly BBQ on Fridays!

The program supports a wide variety of age groups ranging from 10-15 years old. We strive to provide a fun and safe environment for all in which participants can learn a new sport as well as life skills. The fee for this program is $600 (if payed via Interact E-transfer) and $619 if paid using Credit Card.
The fee Includes the following regattas (Mississauga, Balmy Beach, and WODs). Participants are required to provide 10 hours of volunteer time or a volunteer cheque of $250 is required.

Each subsequent sibling enrolled is $550 (if paid by Interact E-Transfer. Credit Card Payments are $567) an additional 5 hours of volunteer time or a additional volunteer cheque of $250 will be required. Please contact [email protected] to obtain the sibling discount code.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY

Only parents, legal guardians or persons 18 years of age or older can register participants for this program. If you are not at least 18 years old and you wish to register, you will need to have a parent or guardian fill in the following forms.

After selecting "Register" you will be required to CREATE AN ACCOUNT with Sportical.

On the first day of your program please bring your email confirmation and waivers (that will be emailed to you) and volunteer cheque.

If paying by Interact Debit please select payment method: "Interact" and complete the payment by using your bank's online tool. Interac e-transfers are to be sent from your online banking website to [email protected]. In the comments section of the E-Transfer please include the registrants name and the name of the program you have registered them in. E-Transfer Password: You are required to create a password for this transaction. Please send the password in a separate email to [email protected] with the above reference information.
Those payments made via interac e-transfer your registration is not guaranteed until payment has been received in full.

Please note:
For registrations that are to paid by Credit card - your child(ren)'s spots are instantly guaranteed, and the initial automated confirmation slip is all that you require. Selecting PAYPAL does not require you to have a paypal account and will allow you to pay by credit card inside the paypal system.

REFUND POLICY:
All Camp/memberships are non-transferable.
Any refund will take approximately 2-4 weeks to complete.
75% refund if notified at least 1 month before start date
50% refund with 2 weeks’ notice of start date
25% refund with 1 week of start date

If your program requires a volunteer cheque, the program is not considered fully paid until a volunteer cheque has been received. Volunteer cheques should be submitted on the first day of your program or before. All refunds may be subject to a $35.00 administration fee. A full refund of your membership will be granted if an e-mailed request to [email protected] is received withing 24hrs of registering or more than 1 month remains before the start of the program. Memberships are active from the start of the program. They become non-active at the end of the season or upon our receipt of your application for refund. Refunds after the start of the program will only be considered for medical reasons with proper medical documentation. Non-use will not be considered a reason for a refund of membership. Refunds are not given for inclement weather.

Pickering Rouge Canoe Club reserves the right to change schedules, coaches or practices as needed without compensation or notice.
