PaddleALL is a program for people with intellectual and disabilities. Participants paddle various water crafts such as recreational canoes and kayaks, dragon boats, and sprint race kayaks. PaddleALL provides a safe and inclusive environment where each participant can build skills and confidence on the water at their own pace. The focus is on having fun and being safe!
The program includes a safety orientation and instruction by experienced coaches. Each paddler spends time on the water with a paddling partner for 1:1 support. This program is ideal for ages 10 and older, but younger children may be accepted at the discretion of the PaddleALL coach.
Participants may be divided into two groups – recreation or development. The development group has greater focus on skill improvement. Both recreational and development participants can race at regattas, competing against other PaddleALL athletes if they wish. Please refer to the calendar on our website for regatta dates.
SESSIONS AND COST
Program runs 13 weeks from May 28 to August 24, 2018 on Mon & Wed 6:00-8:00 pm.
Fees include equipment and all regattas.
Participants of PaddleALL, along with parents or guardians, become members of Pickering Rouge Canoe Club (PRCC) for the year of registration.
A volunteer cheque is not required for PaddleALL; however, we are always looking for volunteers to assist with the program and greatly appreciate family and friend participation.
Only parents, legal guardians or persons 18 years of age or older can register participants for this program. If you are not at least 18 years old, a parent or guardian will need to complete the registration.
After selecting "Register" you will be required to CREATE AN ACCOUNT with Sportical if you don’t already have one.
Payment is by credit card or PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by credit card inside the PayPal system.
On the first day of your program, please bring your email confirmation and the waiver that will be emailed to you.
All registrations are non-transferable. All refunds may be subject to a $35.00 administration fee. Any refund will take approximately 2-4 weeks to complete.
A full refund of your membership will be granted if an e-mailed request to email@example.com is received within 24 hours of registering or more than one month remains before the start of the program. Memberships are active from the start of the program. They become non-active at the end of the season or upon our receipt of your application for refund. Refunds after the start of the program will only be considered for medical reasons with proper medical documentation. Non-use is not a reason for refund of membership. Refunds are not given for inclement weather.
PRCC reserves the right to change schedules, coaches or practices as needed without compensation or notice.
