Master's Program 2018

The Master’s Canoe Kayak Program runs Tuesday & Thursday evenings for adults aged 18+ and is designed for both beginner and experienced paddlers of all skill levels.

Participants have the opportunity to paddle canoes or kayaks with the K1 (one-person kayak) being the most popular. Paddling is a low impact activity that provides an above average aerobic workout while building flexibility and core strength. If they choose, Master’s athletes can compete in local and regional regattas, as well as provincial and National Championships if they qualify. Regatta fees are not included in program costs.

SESSIONS AND COST

Program runs from May 29 to September 27, 2018, Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-8:00 p.m. (2 times per week). Note that there may be program disruption Aug 28 & 30 due to the Canadian Sprint Canoe Kayak Championships.

Cost is $250 including all taxes and fees.
Cost includes equipment but excludes regatta fees.

Participants become members of Pickering Rouge Canoe Club (PRCC) for the year of registration.

VOLUNTEER CHEQUE

A volunteer cheque of $100 is required annually for each registration. The program is not considered fully paid until the volunteer cheque has been received. Volunteer cheques should be submitted on the first day of your program or beforehand. If the participant contributes at least 10 hours of volunteer time to PRCC during 2018, the cheque will be voided. Check the PRCC website for volunteer opportunities.

REGISTRATION

Only persons 18 years of age or older can register participants for this program. If you are not at least 18 years old, a parent or guardian will need to complete the registration.

After selecting "Register" you will be required to CREATE AN ACCOUNT with Sportical if you do not already have one.

Payment is by credit card or PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by credit card inside the PayPal system.

On the first day of your program, please bring: 1) your email confirmation, 2) waiver that will be emailed to you, 3) volunteer cheque.

REFUND POLICY

All registrations are non-transferable. All refunds may be subject to a $35.00 administration fee. Any refund will take approximately 2-4 weeks to complete.
75% refund if notified at least 1 month before start date.
50% refund with 2 weeks’ notice of start date.
25% refund with 1 week of start date.

A full refund of your membership will be granted if an e-mailed request to [email protected] is received within 24 hours of registering or more than one month remains before the start of the program. Memberships are active from the start of the program. They become non-active at the end of the season or upon our receipt of your application for refund. Refunds after the start of the program will only be considered for medical reasons with proper medical documentation. Non-use is not a reason for refund of membership. Refunds are not given for inclement weather.

PRCC reserves the right to change schedules, coaches or practices as needed without compensation or notice.
