PRCC will be operating all our programs in full compliance with Ministry of Health requirements. See our COVID-19 Response page for more information. We have made many changes to our programs and procedures to keep participants and staff safe.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING THEIR OWN LIFEJACKETS AS PART OF OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE PROCEDURES. If we are required to cancel the session in which you are registered, full refunds (prorated if mid-session) will be issued.

The Masters Canoe Kayak Program runs Tuesday & Thursday evenings for adults aged 18+ and is designed for both beginner and experienced paddlers of all skill levels. Participants have the opportunity to paddle canoes or kayaks with the K1 (one-person kayak) being the most popular. Paddling is a low impact activity that provides an above average aerobic workout while building flexibility and core strength. There is a very exciting racing component to the Masters program for those who are interested and you need minimal experience. It’s a great way to get motivated and meet friends in the paddling community. There will be special Masters events at different canoe clubs each month. See our website calendar or check under “Regattas” for dates and information. To compete at Western Ontario Division, Provincials and Nationals, Masters paddlers must be at least 25. There will be additional cost to participate in these regattas.

SESSIONS AND COST

Program runs from May 24 to September 1, 2022, Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-8:00 p.m. (2 times per week). Note that there may be program disruption during the last week of August due to the Canadian Sprint Canoe Kayak Championships. Cost is $395.50 including all taxes and fees. Cost includes equipment but excludes regatta fees. Participants become members of Pickering Rouge Canoe Club (PRCC) for the year of registration.

Payment is by credit card or etransfer.  If paying by etransfer, select Other as the payment method.  If the etransfer is not received within 3 business days after registration or by the Thursday before the session begins, the registration will be cancelled.  Etransfer should be made to [email protected] email address and please use "Rouge" as the password.
